The sole 'tree' around the vicinity of the Union Glacier Camp in Antarctica was a tiny Christmas tree located about 1.6km/1 mile from camp. It was to become a key landmark for the Antarctic Ice Marathon runners as it marked the final mile before the finish line of the marathon. I don't think I'd ever been so happy seeing a Christmas tree prior to my stay in Antarctica.
Here's hoping everyone had a splendid Christmas day with family, loved ones and friends :)
